Can you say ow?
Never ever have I been so glad as I am now that I own a tube top... You see.. last Friday not only did I get a sunburn.. but I got a SUNBURN... I've actually got blisters on my shoulders. My left shoulder is worse than the right one and is, but they're both quiiiite sore. Which means that wearing shirts is kind of a problem, hence why the tube top is soooo very nice to wear just at the moment. Granted it keeps trying to fall down, as all tube tops do, but still, it doesn't touch my shoulers and for that I am immensely grateful.
I hate being sunburnt. *insert very irritated and annoyed face here*
Well I guess I should explain to you all why I am so very, very sunburnt.. See, on Friday, I was quite sure that Adam and I would be sent out to the Burnsland site to do more pouring stuff down the wells (oh yay!!!!!!!!!!!!............) so I meant to put some sunscreen in my car for that, only I forgot (yes, yes, oops.. I know..) but then it turned out that I was actually going to be sent off to a field near Chestermere to measure water static water levels. On this field, which was actually an entire quarter section (i.e. 800 m by 800 m) had 20 monitoring wells on it and I had the wonderfully fun job of measuring the static water levels of ALL of them. Oh, and we weren't allowed to drive on the field, so it involved a LOT of walking back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and you get the idea. Oh, I was also battling with vegetation nearly as tall, or taller than myself. So after having forgotten my sunscreen at home and spending 6 hours walking around in the blazing sun... I'm really, really, really sunburnt.
Thankfully the burn on my arms has already turned into a tan. The top of my chest is still horifically red, but at least it doesn't really hurt. So now it's just wait until the rest of the burn goes away and hope that nobody sends me out to do jobs in the sun before then..
P.S. The burn is actually worse than it looks in the picture.. Quite a bit worse..
