Oooooohhh my was that a hail storm!! Not sure if other Calgary type peoples got it quite the same as here, but there were actually some hail stones which were nearly the size of golf balls which, after hitting the ground, bounced up about 3 feet. The ones that hit something solid? Splatter for about 5 feet in ALL directions. The poor cats were all outside when the storm hit, so shortly after it started they all came running for the house. Mel and Kobe definitely made a mad dash inside, but otherwise didn't seem too bothered, but poor wee Dez was mewing rather pitifully. I don't think she enjoyed being pelted by hard balls of ice.. The horses were similarly annoyed before they finally found their way into the shelter. It was quite funny actually.. I heard the hail hitting the ground when the storm was just first starting out, but the hail stones were small enough that I couldn't really tell what was going on so all I saw were the horses madly running back and forth back and forth trying to get out of the way of the hail.

Oh yes.. HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!!!!!!!! :>

My friend Fiona, who is working in England for the summer, has informed me that they were celebrating Canada Day in Trafalgar Square today, which is cool, but they were also charging 75p for a teeny Canadian flag which is absolutely ridiculous, especially as we have about 8 floating around in my house and we got them all for free. (In case you don't know the conversion rate.. 75p is 1.50$.)

So my mum had to go to the doctor's last week for one reason or another and while she was there she got him to write up a prescription for massages for me. In case you didn't know, I only have about 60% mobility in my neck when compared to normal people because my shoulder muscles are so ridiculously tight. It's never really bothered me before, especially as it's allllways been like that, but the one road that I have to take to get home from work has a spot where you have to yield getting onto the Trans Canada, and the angle that the two roads are at is such that you have to look waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay behind you to see if anything is coming. And unless I actually get up out of my seat... I can't see what's coming at me. So I have to use my side mirror to see, but that's not really the greatest solution either because while you can see all the cars, it's really hard to properly judge just where exactly they are. Also I've started getting headaches a lot recently and I'm wondering if my shoulders aren't the cause like they were the last time. So hopefully this will help. (And don't worry... these aren't going to be super nice and relaxing massages.. no.. these will be the therapy, let's-just-dig-our-fingers-three-inches-into-your-back type of massages. But if they mean I'll be able to turn my head to the sides and will stop getting headaches, I really couldn't care less.)

Oooh! And I also went outside for a wee bit to get some sun and I HAVE TAN LINES!!!! YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
