So apparently this will only work for the time being if you don't copy and paste things, which means lots of fun re-typing for Erin!!!.... Anyway, here is the post that was supposed to have appeared a couple days ago.
So I'm back in Glasgow now after quite the interesting weekend. You see, it was two of Chris' friend's 21st joint birthday party, so we both went down to Larkhall (which is where Chris is from and is about a half hour south of Glasgow) for the weekend. I got to meet Chris' parents, younger brother and all of his rather mad friends... I didn't really get to talk to many of his friends for long as the only time I saw them was at the party and the music was a bit loud for talking, but the rest of his family, especially his parents, is hilarious. His mum and dad both have excellent senses of humour and are both quite fun loving and, not childish, but they have that sort of excitability. For instance, on Saturday morning we went and visited his dad's mum, who now has Alzheimer's and is therefore quite fond of asking the same questions over and over.... and when Chris' dad saw the electric scooter dealy that an old man went wizzing past on, you could just see his eyes light up. Had there been a couple of unused ones sitting around, you can bet that him and Chris would have raced each other down the hallway.. (In fact... I'm not entirely sure that that hasn't already happened...)
After that we all went to Edinburgh, Fraser and Chris' parents to buy Fraser a new saxophone (that kid is RIDICULOUSLY talented in music...) and Chris and I just to wander about Edinburgh seeing what there was to see. And I must say... Edinburgh is beautiful!!! Especially since the sun came out right after we got there so it was soooooooooooo nice walking about with the sun shining. We didn't even see all that much, but I still managed to take 106 pictures... Keep in mind that some of them are doubles just in case one's out of focus. Also quite a few of them are zoomed in versions of other ones, but still. We did go see the castle though, which is HUGE, but only to look at it, not go inside. I didn't really feel like paying 20$ just to go in and look around.
After Edinburgh it was the party, which was entertainign enough, but I didn't know anyone except Chris and his familty and it was too loud for talking anyway. We didn't stay all thaaaaaaaaaaat long though and there was some very good food and cake there, so all in all it was quite good.
Oooooh! And I also get to use the computer speakers wich weren't in use at Chris' house, so now I have real speakers!! No more crummy laptop speaker music!! YESS!! :>
