Well, the dread of mine that's been trying to comit suicide for several months now has finally died. It was, sadly, an aided death as I saw that he was mostly only being held on by the elastic band I'd put around him and not by any actual hair, so I pulled him out. :<
A couple weeks ago I saw an episode of House where a guy had his hand amputated. They showed just after his hand had been cut through and the surgeon was actually taking it away from the rest of his arm. It's something that just shouldn't happen normally and so kind of turned my stomach a wee bit. Me taking the dread away from my head gave me that same feeling of wrongness. So very sad. Although it would have happened sooner or later me thinks as the dread was actually only holding on by 11 hairs. I've now got another elastic around the chunk of hair that should have been included in the dread, so hopefully that will knot up now. As a side note, I think the dread that died was the first one that was done way back when I got dreads
Rest in peace my wee dread.
