Man have we had some weiiiiiird weather today. One of the first things the weather did today was rain. Normally this isn't weird at all (and is, in fact, far too common..). The weird thing about it was that it was raining on the south side of the flat and not on the north side. Very quickly the cloud above us moved so that it was raining on both sides, as normal.

The weather was fairly stable afterwards and was even quite sunny. Then suddenly it started hailing. Then it started hailing harder. Then it was hailing so hard that it looked just like a blizzard outside. Then there was thunder!!!! And even a wee bit of lightning! Now, normally I wouldn't get very excited about this, but this was the very, very, VERY FIRST TIME that there's been any thunder OR lightning since I got here in September!! I find this quite odd especially as it's always raining here. Sadly the storm was only good enough for one flash of lightning, one good boom of thunder and then a slightly more pathetic boom. I'm sure there was more to it than that, but that's all that we could hear/see from out kitchen.

After that it was sunny again. Just a minute ago it was hailing again. Now it's clear, although not sunny because the sun is setting. It reminded me very much of Calgary in April/May the way the weather was changing. It also means that spring is on it's way!!! And it's still February!! :>
