HOLY CRAP was it windy yesterday!!!!!! I'm not even talking about normal sort of windy.. No, this wind was entirely in its own league. Anytime you were walking outside and the wind gusted particularly violently, there was absolutely nothing you could do to keep yourself going in a straight line. Actually on the way back from my chem lab, the wind just about blew me into this little creek type dealy that runs along one of the paths. It would have been rather soggy so I'm glad that I didn't actually end up falling in. It was nice when the wind was helping to push me up the stairs though, although when it stopped you sure felt heavy.

And then later on, when I was walking home from trampoline, the wind was blowing at my back and actually had me just about running at one point it was pushing me so strongly. And then it gusted even harder and just about knocked me flat on my face. It was actually pretty funny at times, although when it was both windy and raining.. it kind of sucked in a very damp and cold way.

Actually the wind was apparently gusting at up to 80 mph (130 km/h). To put this into context, hurricane strength wind is somewhere around 60-65 mph. Not sure if we were catching the tail end of some tropical storm or something, but hooooooooooo doggie. Surprisingly the tree outside my window still has most of it's leaves. Actually also surprising is the fact that most of the leaves on the tree outside my window are still green. It's so weird having an autumn that isn't 2 days long like it is in Calgary.
