Either my shoes have holes in the bottoms, or I have been unknowingly walking through a lot of puddles... Either way, my feet are very wet.
Ramblings Of A Lunatic (The old one)
Here is a little look into the very scary world that is my mind. We're not sure how it got to be so tangled and confused but that's where it is now. Please try not to get lost.

If you want to get the monthly newsletter that I will be writing, in which you will find all sorts of insights to what's going on here in Glasgow, either e mail me and let me know, or leave a comment here with your e mail (if you are a random person who's e mail I don't know).
That is all.

Well, I finally have internet again albeit MSN doesn't work. Hopefully that will be remidied because the web based MSN sucks!
Anyway, I got into Glasgow all safe and sound and even understood about 40% of what the Glaswegian taxi driver said to me on the ride from the airport to the university. :>
So university res finds me a postage stamp sized room in the oldest (and therefore crappiest) residence on the campus. Which is also why it's the cheapest. It's not actually as bad as I've just made it sound. The kitchens were all renovated a while ago, so they're actually slightly nicer than the other residences that I've been into, but the bedrooms are smaller and there are absolutely NO cupboards or counters in the bathrooms. Hopefully everyone living in this particular apartment will agree to chip in and we can go buy some stuff. I imagine they will though. Having to take your toothbrush back and forth from your room to the bathroom is quite annoying.
Anyway, my mind wandered away as I was looking around another site, so I've completely lost my train of thought. At any rate I'll be writing a monthly newsletter type affair, so let me know if you want it.

At the moment I'm taking a break from packing. Ugh. At first I didn't mind it so much because it was easier than packing for a vacation. I say this because when you go on vacation, you have to decide what you really need to take and what you can live without. When you're packing for an entire year, that's not the problem because you take just about absolutely everything. The reason I am not so fond of packing now is that my one suitcase is 14 pounds heavier than allowed and there's still room in it. This means that I have to see how much I can cram into my smaller suitcase without having it explode and hope that they both end up under the weight limit. Only problem is, I don't know if I can cram enough stuff into the smaller suitcase in order to make the bigger one lighter. And what on earth do I do when I come home if I've got more stuff than when I left?!!?!
I suppose it's not so bad if one of them is too heavy. As long as it's under 70 pounds then it's only an extra 35$. I can't believe my big suitcase weighs 64 pounds and it's got nothing but clothes in it... I don't even have that many clothes! Sigh.

I have decided to put up a sort of profile of all the stuff I've batiked. (I'm REALLLLLLY bored.. And not entirely sure what happened to the layout of the pictures..)
Here we have the very first shirt I batiked which, incredibly, turned out the best so far. I have no idea how that happened...

This is the shirt that I made for Caitlin for Christmas (she's a broadway fan... in case you are having a dim moment.. :>

This one was supposed to end up fire-engin red, but for some reason the scarlet red dye makes things melon pink... The black also decided to run outside of the sheep. I'll be redoing this one.. again..

This one wasn't batiked, (it was done with fabric paint) but I figured I'd include it anyway just because it's cool. (It's a picture of Hali's "Raving Mongoose" which at the time of being drawn was thought to be a bird and not a weasel type animal.)
