I got a call from my friend Dan today. About two months ago he informed me that he was going to keep an eye open for a dirtbike for me. A little while after that he told me he was still keeping an eye open and that when he found one I had better have some money for it. Well, turns out he found one. According to him it's perfect for me and only 3000$... Obviously with me going to Scotland for school and having to pay for, well, food and res, there's no way I could get a dirtbike now. Especially since it would sit around for the entire year whilst I was away. I did feel kind of bad that I couldn't get it. Not only because I wouldn't have a dirtbike, but also because he had sounded so excited when he told me he was going to try to find a bike for me. I was also a little doubtful that he'd actually call me if he found one. Especially since I didn't think he had my number. Granted it would be easy enough for him to get it from someone else, but still.

Actually, now that I think about it, Dan is very, very good at following through with things he says. Even when he's absolutely piss drunk. Like when he said he'd teach me how to drive a dirtbike. Well, when he first said that he was tripping out hardcore on mushrooms (yes I know.. I have wonderful friends...). Then the next night when he was rather drunk, he brought it up again and we decided that the next day for sure, he was going to teach me. The next day rolls around (this was when a bunch of my friends and I were camping in case you were wondering) and Aaron (the guy with the dirtbikes) left early, so he never did get to teach me, but not because he said, oh yes, I'll teach you, and then completely forgot about it. Maybe I'm just used to people who say that they'll do something and then either forget about it, or just not bother to ever do it. Kind of like Ted putting on my closet door.. and my phone jack and my electrical plugins and..... Oh well.

P.S. I just killed a mosquito by hitting it against the wall..... It was a rather large mosquito. There is now a rather large dead mosquito splotch on my wall...
