So good ol' Springbank high school had their end of fundraiser celebration this morning. Every year, they pick something to raise funds for. This year it was Type I Diabetes. They raised over 32 000$!!!

Anywho, my mum had been talking to Fred Reynolds, the vice principal, and somehow she managed to get me to agree to at least go and be introduced to them all and whatnot. But I wasn't going to say anything, because we all know how much Erin loves public speaking.. So we got there and found Mr. Reynolds and I wasn't entirely sure what exactly I would be doing, so asked, and he said, oh, they'll just say who you are and that you used to go to Springbank, that sort of thing. Then I made sure that I wasn't going to have to say anything. Then he went on about how good that would be and my mum joined in and eventually I found myself agreeing to briefly tell my story. Then I found myself madly writing what I would say in the 10 minutes that I had before the whole thing was to start. Wee bit stressful writing speeches last minute like that.. Then I got to read it over once and before I knew it I was being called up to speak.

It actually went rather well. Apart from my violently shaking hands of course.. :> Everyone said that I did really well, although I was a little dissapointed that no one laughed at the mildly funny parts. I did see some people smile when I told the story of napping on the futon in my drama class and having everyone else fold over the top part of the mattress and then sit on me..

I also got to see Graham. We'd planned to go out for lunch sometime this week, but that didn't work out, so this was the first time I'd seen him in 2 years, so that was good. And we are going to eventually go out for lunch sometime, so that's good too. He's actually the student council president now.. Had no idea of that one.

Anyhow, I must get back to picking courses for next year. As long as everything works out, I won't actually have to take any of them, seeing as I'll be in Scotland, but if everything does go belly up, I would like to not have to take anything horrid.. :>
