Johnny Depp is MELTING!!!! Well, ok, HE himself isn't melting, but my pumpkin of him is. Or, deforming at least. It's so sad, but that's what happens when a pumpkin freezes overnight and then thaws and then freezes and then, well, you get the picture. At least he is sitting outside so I didn't have to deal with a melted puddle of pumpkin on my kitchen table again...

I'm still not entirely sure what I want to do with my pumpkins as a way of discarding them. I'm definitely considering dropping them off the garage roof so I can see them splatter. I'd feel kind of bad dropping Johnny off the garage roof though.. The owl however is definitely going to be dropped if I do indeed decide to do that. (The owl right now is in MUCH worse shape than Johnny, the owl having been mushy to start with and carved about a week earlier than Johnny. The owl is actually quite comical to look at... You see, a couple days after having been carved, the top of the pumpkin started to get mushy and would no longer support the top DESPITE the numerous toothpicks I put in there to try and hold things up. A couple days later, more of the top became soft and the sides started to lean in. Now, the entire pumpkin has pretty much caved in on itself and is a squishy little pile of orange that really doesn't resemble an owl, or anything for that matter, anymore. In fact, when it drops off the garage roof, I doubt it'll splatter at all, it's so mushy, it would probably just splut onto the ground and spread outwards, but no upwards splattering. Maybe I'll have Hali observe that one from close up...
