So the book I nearly finished writing last year (the one where I had to write 50000 words in a month, which I did) I have finally picked up again. At the moment I'm editing it because there are some parts to it which are quite awkward to read and not so very good. So I'm fixing them and then when I'm done I'll start writing new stuff.
I printed my book out, all 113 pages and nearly killed the printer in the process... My printer is.. fickle at best.. and it didn't really like having to print that much, especially double sided. So some of the pages are NOT in the right order because it printed say.. 95 on one side, 97 on the other, then 96 on a completely different page and then 98 on the back of 96. But oh well. Most of the pages are in the right order. I did make the rather silly mistake of not having the computer number the pages for me, so I had to do it all by hand afterwards. Not so very fun. At any rate the editing has begun and I'm hopeful that I'll be able to finish it this time and then I'll send it off to every publisher I can find and get LOTS of mail, mostly regection letters I am assuming. :>
Well, things at the cat kennel are.... a wee bit stressful at the moment. All of a sudden a whole bunch of cats started sneezing. Now, cats should never sneeze unless they are actually sick with something, and since all the cats at the kennel are vaccinated, they shouldn't sneeze. However, they are and I don't know why. In fact, all the cats who are sneezing, except one, have had all their shots done sometime between February and July of THIS YEAR. The one who hasn't had his shots done last August, so technically he's still good, but not really really. So I was talking to the owner of the kennel and she suggested quarantining the cats. There's two seperate buildings that have kennels in them and the one was empty because we don't have a lot of cats, and I never even thought of putting all the sneezers in that one. So now there are five cats in there. This morning they had actually stopped sneezing as much, so that's a good sign. And the first cat who started sneezing has actually since then gotten better, so I'm hoping that it's just some horrible twist of fate that almost the day Mike (the other guy who was working with me) leaves, the cats all decide to get sick. Maybe they miss him or something... I don't know. Either way I'm hoping that they'll stop sneezing and all that.
