I've never seen a porqupine in Calgary, but apparantely we have them here because the other day I saw one in the middle of the road which had been run over. At least I THINK it was a porqupine. You never really can tell with roadkill, but this was awfully long and prickly looking.

Also, the other day, I was driving home and it was just before midnight and a police car comes zooming up behind me, passes me, gets into the left turning lane at the lights on 17 ave and 69 st, and then decides that he doesn't want to wait for the light to change, so he put on his flashers and zoomed through the red light. I think our police force is a wee bit crooked....
