I've gotten into a nice little violin-practicing groove. In the last three days I've actually played for like 2 hours, whereas normally I'll play for maaaaaaaybe 40 minutes per week. I just can't seem to find time to practice, or I forget to and suddenly, oh look! it's monday, I have a lesson and I haven't practiced at all!... Oh good...
I played so much today that I've actually got blisters on my fingers now.. I love it! Now maybe I'll actually start to get better... I've only been playing for a year and a half, but I kick myself each time I think of how good I COULD be if I PRACTICED once in a while.. So hopefully over the summer I'll play lots and I'll go back to lessons in the fall all super-fantastic and they'll all be amazed. Excellent...

In other news, I recently got a CD by a band called Nightwish. For anyone that's never heard of them before (i.e. most of you...) they're a Finnish band and they combine metal with opera. I love it. And I also discovered that I can sing as high as the singer in the band! I hadn't tried before because there were always people in the house and if it didn't work, well, that wouldn't have been good... But no. I can do it. That makes me happy. :)
