subplots are stupid.

i suppose they're necessary, because otherwise the book would be somewhat boring, but still! they're annoying. i'm slightly bogged down in one of my little sub plots in my book. and i know it has to be in there, but i would really much rather be writing something more exciting than the main character (who's name is Lillianne) going out for lunch. booooooooooooring. at least i've sort of gotten out of there and now i can start having stuff happen.

(psssst. i'll give you a little teaser of what's coming up... shhhhhh don't tell anyone.... Lillianne comes home to find a head (not a real one) impaled on one of the springs that's sticking up out of her couch which is on the front lawn (all that part about the couch is explained beforehand). and the head is hers (why it's not real...). so it's a plaster head or whatever. that would certainly creep ME out...
